the bergert is from our 'high-tech by hand' series. although made
entirely by hand by routing, heating then bending, we wanted the
piece to look and feel as though it was extruded. the profile of the
piece, including the shape of the radii, were inspired/informed by
stock aluminum extrusions. the berger can hold incoming/outgoing
mail (large enough for netflix and deep enough for 1 dvd), up to three
sets of keys and anything you feel like displaying on the shelf and
in the elastic band.

disclaimer: this piece uses earth magnets. the magnets are far enough away
from the shelf that we have not had issues with erased credit cards or ipods
stored on the shelf. we would, however, not reccommend taking your credit
card out and rubbing it all over the magnets (who does that?). common sense
stuff, ya know?
